Code of Conduct

All parents/guardians who have children participating within the Torrance American Baseball Organization must abide by a Code of Conduct. Any violation of these rules or any Torrance American Baseball Rules will result in immediate expulsion from your association with Torrance American Baseball. You will forfeit your membership for the current season and be subject for review for any other subsequent year.


All Parents/Guardians Agree To:

1. Furnish proof of Birth Certificate, passport, or military ID of applicant to the Association of Torrance American Baseball upon request.

2. Abstain from the possession and drinking of alcoholic beverages and possession and use of any illegal substance at any Torrance American Baseball function. This rule includes the pinto field at Saint Lawrence Martyr Catholic church. Violations of this rule jeopardize the lease agreement with both the City of Torrance, and the Church.

3. Not smoke on the practice or playing field, or in the presence of a gathering team.

4. Deliberately incite and/or participate in unsportsmanlike conduct at any Torrance American Baseball function.

5. Agree to never protest a game umpire, board member, manager, or coach decision in an aggressive demonstrative manner, which might incite violent or aggressive fan involvement.

6. Not use abusive or profane language or actions at any time at any Torrance American Baseball function.

7. Not criticize, belittle, antagonize, berate or otherwise incite the opposing team, its players, and coaches, fans, umpires, board members by word of mouth or by gesture.

8. Treat all children and adults while at any Torrance American Baseball functions with respect.

9. Follow the proper procedures when filing a complaint or voicing my opinion regarding any possible rule infractions or concerns within my division. Proper Procedure Will Be As Follows: You may only advance to the next level of command, providing your situation has not been handled within 72 hours from your initial filing and you need further assistance.

A. Your manager of your team

B. If your complaint is regarding your manager, you may go directly to your Divisional V.P of your division.

10. Take full responsibility for any actions that violate this Code of Conduct by a guest or relative of attending parent/guardian.

11. Any act of disrespect from a parent/fan directed towards game umpires, coaches, or board members creating a disturbance either in the bleachers, outfield bleachers, or playing field must be ejected from the game (practice or post season event) by an umpire. The penalty will be handed down to the individual immediately by any TABB Board Member present and the assessed penalty will not require a hearing to be assessed.

12. If we are ejected or removed from any Torrance Baseball functions, we will refrain from attending any practices, games, competitions for the period of my punishment.

13. However, any penalty assessed to any individual may be appealed in writing to the Torrance American Baseball Board, within 72 hours from the time the penalty was assessed.

THESE RULES WILL BE ENFORCED AT ALL TIMES. BREAKING OF ANY CODE OF CONDUCT RULES WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
